How to Help

Glyn BryantA Short History

The Christians in Crete website started life as a simple blog by a wonderful warm-hearted Englishman who fell in love with Crete, and like many ex-pats decided to build his holiday and retirement-home-to-be here on the island. As Glyn and his wife started exploring Crete’s nooks and crannies Glyn started gathering information about the (mainly) Evangelical Churches and Christian Groups he discovered that spoke or supported English. Crete by nature is made up of lots of geographically segregated villages and towns with the island ‘bookended’ by the two largest cites of Chania in the west and Heraklion in the East. Glyn wanted to do something to help unite those disparate groups in some way whilst also helping anyone arriving on the island to connect to a Christian family as quickly and easily as possible. This heart for connecting the Christian community was shared by someone he met at his local Church in Eroni who was by profession a web designer. 3. SPREAD THE WORD! Tell other websites, blogs, Facebook Groups, social media sites and people about the website. The focus of course would be websites based in Crete or Travel sites that have information about Crete. Like us on Facebook!

By The People For The PeopleWe_Need_You

One of the most gratifying things over the last few years has been hearing the stories of how people have used the website to find a church or house group. But even better has been sitting in church and see a visitor arrive holding a printed page from the website in their hands whilst they look for a place to sit, and then hearing how thankful they have been to have found a sign-post to somewhere they can worship with fellow believers.
