How is Your Church Doing through Lockdown?

How is your church in Crete managing during the Covid-19 lockdown? Are you continuing to meet, albeit virtually?

The lockdown has placed severe restrictions on Christians meeting together. But churches have been using social media in innovative ways to enable ministries to continue.

I’d like to hear your stories so I can update the Christians in Crete web site.

For example, AnamnisiChania has continued to gather together virtually on Sundays and Wednesdays by using Zoom. This has brought together, not only Christians in homes in and near to Chania for worship, teaching and prayer,  but also an international congregation Of friends and supporters from countries such as the United States, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, South Africa and mainland Greece.

With the easing of lockdowns in Greece, it’s now possible for Christians to meet together but the social distancing rules mean that this can only be done in small numbers indoors. So AnamnisiChania has started to meet outdoors on Sundays. The meetings take place at 10.00am Greek time at Agii Apostoli Park , not far away from the parking area and to the right of the children’s play area. More details of the park’s location can be found here:

Meetings continue to be accessible to friends and supporters from the international community through Zoom. Contact the church leaders if you would like to be added to the invitation list for Zoom.
